The second presentation is a deeper dive into VCF itself. What are the questions it is trying to answer? What is the solution really built on?

I think what is brought today really answers some specific questions toward the direction of VCF, but it’s still taking massive assumptions on the customer groups they are trying to work with. For instance the idea that there are builders and consumers assumes that an environment has developers building applications and isn’t a use case where the admins are simply building Off-the-shelf software that just needs to be kept up.

I think the challenge is that VVF is for the COTS shops, and VCF is for the enterprise groups that VMware is working directly with in order to assist them to be successful with their needs. This means VMware will be able to help larger customers to find success, and smaller customer would use less so they don’t have all the capabilities, but it also means that if you are between the two you don’t have a real path to utilize all the solutions available in VCF but its something that will help customers with support and professional services. In this guys opinion, that’s not a great answer, but its the answer that we have for now.
